Trademark Registration
Saudi trademarks are filed with and examined by the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP), which took over trademark administration from the Ministry of Commerce.
Saudi Arabia has been a Madrid Protocol member since 2020, so designation from an international registration is available as an alternative to a direct national filing.
Saudi Arabia is a first-to-file jurisdiction, and examination includes review against public order and religious sensitivities — marks that pass elsewhere are sometimes refused here.
We act as your filing agent in Saudi Arabia: clearance searching, classification, preparing and submitting the application, responding to examiner objections, and managing opposition or renewal when it arises. You do not deal with the office directly, and you get one case manager for the whole file.
We have filed and defended trademarks since 2010 for clients across Egypt, the Gulf and beyond — including international IP agencies who use us as their local partner.
